| Renaissance Strategies Vice President Brian Pierce has extensive experience in local and state legislative affairs. Mr. Pierce is responsible for media affairs, coalition development and strategic planning and execution.
Most recently, Mr. Pierce served as Executive Director of the Kent County Republican Party in Grand Rapids. As Executive Director, Pierce was responsible for grassroots organization, communications and fundraising for the third largest county political organization in America.
During the 2004 campaign, Mr. Pierce was a partner in a political consultant and fundraising firm that focused on congressional, judicial and state house races throughout Michigan. In 2004 Mr. Pierce raised a combined $3.2 million dollars for his clients seeking office.
In 2002, Mr. Pierce was West Michigan Field Director for the Mike Cox for Attorney General campaign, helping Mike Cox become the first republican Michigan Attorney General in 50 years. During Attorney General Mike Cox’s first year in office, Mr. Pierce was given the position of Special Assistant to the Attorney General, where he served as a liaison with legislators and constituents. He also played a key role in the establishment of the Child Support Division by developing key messages and marketing materials.
While earning his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Grand Valley State University, Mr. Pierce served as legislative and political liaison for US Senator Spencer Abraham. In that position he developed regional policy questions for the Senator. He was responsible for tracking legislation through both the house and senate and worked with elected officials throughout the state and county to insure effective policy. |
